This type of plan is NOT a mortgage or loan – instead, you sell some or all of your property and receive a discounted amount of money for the share sold. There is no lender involved, and the company that buys some or all of your home will become a new part or full owner, with you continuing to own any portion not sold in this way. You retain the right to live in the property for life, in most cases rent-free.

The maximum amounts that Home Reversion plan applicants can receive for a given chare of the property changes frequently. How much you may be eligible to receive depends on your own circumstances. The maximum sum may be higher if you do not enjoy perfect health. For applicants with potentially life-limiting illnesses the amount could be higher, depending on the severity of the illnesses suffered.
The results from this calculator are therefore only a guide. Your own circumstances could change the amount you may be offered. You do not have to take the maximum available, and alternative arrangements such as using a part of your property may be more suitable for you.
